Last-Minute Civil War thoughts?

Post  RiflesSpinFast on Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:17 am

With the unit test only a few days away, I figured a topic about it here (not that anybody ever goes here lololol).

I have a feeling this test is going to be 99% causes and effects of the Civil War, and 1% battles and what have you. But that's just a guestimation.

What would you guys consider to be the essential material to study the next couple of days? I would say Reconstruction would be a definite biggy, including the Civil War Amendments, the whole Executive v. Legislative Recon. plans, etc. Also, I foresee Grant coming in there quite a bit, as well as Boss Tweed (even though neither had much of anything to do with the Civil War). Then, she may throw a curveball and go back to the beginning for her focus (Douglas debates, the Republican Party, etc.).

Thoughts? Opinions?

I think you pretty much have it covered. I think she might throw some pre-war stuff our way, so we should all go back and review all of that. Just know your people, and know your parties....and most importantly, know your party people. Rolling Eyes

I would hit the major battles, and I would definitely brush up on the Anaconda Plan. But I have a feeling the Civil War itself isn't as important to Zipp as the causes/effects of it.

And definitely the Emancipation Proclamation, too.

Good call.
So test was easy right?
I'm a little biased on this subject, but it seemed relatively simple
